Help me create a resilient, food secure community

Hi all,

Each year, #GivingTuesday is our chance to show up for our community. When I learned that Detroit Friendship House provides nutritious, culturally relevant food to more than 1,800 families each year, I was impressed. When I learned that they lead additional support services, workshops, and programs for their neighbors, providing more than just a box of food, I knew I had to help.

That's why I created a fundraiser to support Detroit Friendship House this #GivingTuesday. With the rising costs of food, utilities, and healthcare, many guests at their pantry are stretching their budgets to the limit. My campaign will raise funds to support the pantry and the empowering programs they lead that help guests develop the skills and resources needed to build self-sufficiency — English-language classes, 1-1 life coaching, health screenings and workshops, nutritious cooking classes, and more.
